Premier Footplate Experience
The Premier Footplate Experience runs from 8.30am to approximately 15:30pm.
On the job tuition on how to drive and fire a steam engine. You get to drive an engine only and engine with carriages in both directions over the line with 10 miles of driving.
The experience includes three day rover tickets for family and friends a participant lunch voucher free membership to the ESR a certificate and ESR tankard.

The Premier Footplate includes:
- Driving an engine only and engine with carriages both directions over the line (10 miles of driving).
- 3 complimentary day rover vouchers for family and friends to use on the day of your footplate course (your family and friends need to show their vouchers at the Ticket Office and they will be exchanged for day rover tickets).
- A free lunch voucher for the participant to use in our Station Café (please exchange in our café on the day).
- A year's free membership to the ESR.
- A selection of ESR gift items to remind you of your day.
- On completion you will be presented with a certificate of your achievement.
